blog for the love of GOD!

Ok so today marks my last first day of school...You'll get it in a second.
Emotions are mixed because I love school and it's varying schedule-how everyday is different and I extra love the fact that my work out is built into my everyday.
For example I'll walk close to four miles a day with a 10 pound backpack-you can't beat that. haha

At the same time-I hate with a capital T ;) the stress of signing up for classes and the endless rigamorol that all campus personell are trained to put each student through. Soon I'll be rid of all that and I'll definitely be a more relaxed person for it.

I get myself pumped up for life beyond school by thinking of all the time I'll have to learn things on my own without tests and homework. I look forward to the days of lazy bookstore browsing where I will sit thumbing through pages careful not to spill my latte and think back fondly to all the late nights spent frazzily (birth of a new word!) staring at a computer screen.

I'll have a college degree to hold over people's heads and when I spell something wrong they'll have something more lofty to hold over mine (and YOU have a degree in English pfft!) I will be certifyably able to rhetoric (birth of a new verb!) and write with the best of them haha and throw Chaucer in their face when they rebuttle, "Of harmes two the less is for to chose!"

Yes, I am now light years more excited then I was thanks to this little diatribe. And so I am off with my bouquet of newly sharpened pencils and eraser-y-smelling school supplies to what will prove to be the greastest year in my scholastic career.

....Mmm.....

Energy drinks don't seem to have an affect on me.
However last wednesday night i drank an entire rockstar and instead of energizing me it seemed to weaken my "awkward filter"
I found myself in so many conversations saying things i would never normally say out loud and standing there in complete silence afterward not even trying to rescue the moment and on top of all that i stood there knowing what was going on and didn't care.

That's so unlike me. If there's one thing i hate it's non-funny awkwardness and to manufacture a moment like that and not even care is so unlike me-like-i've-already-said.

I told someone this later on and she replyed, "so basically you had a big tall glass of liquid courage" which she may have borrowed from a movie i don't know, all i know is i'm never drinking one of those again.
not because of the awkward filter malfunction but mainly because of the stomach pains :)

Thanks for reading!

Team Israel

I think Chik-fil-A should change their name to "Chik-lightning-fil-a" cause they are SUPER fast, and of course, very good.

Speaking of SUPER i am SUPER excited about camp. I think heading a group of teenagers to a camp hours away for a week of growing closer together and closer to God is one of the greatest summertime activities and i'm happy to be a part of it.

The rivalries have already started between cabins and let me just lay down the law by saying that my cabin is going to dominate the song competition so...now that we've got that in writing just be-ware.

haha and that is all.

EAO

If I would have thought about it before hand, going to the social security office to change my name would have produced very different results…Fun, Funny, Witty, Awesome-all viable middle names and great to pull out when someone doubts you

“Oh yeah, well Fun is my middle name!”

Alas, the friends episode when Phoebe legally uses “banana-hamock” was the last thing on my mind and I’m still rocking the same-old same-old just with a different last name.

BUT believe you me, there would be some serious funny behind any of those middle names. And to play that card whenever a situation calls for it would be pretty freakin awesome…

“You think that’s awesome? I don’t and I should know, cause Awesome is my middle name.”

Food: It's what's for Dinner.

Dinner is suddenly a very important subject the minute you get married.

And it may be that it's not suddenly important to you, but it is to others and their constant questioning about your nightly eating habits brings the whole thing to a sharply focused perspective.

In the past month I've been asked more times then I care to count what we've been doing for dinner. Never is there any care shown for breakfast (THE most important meal of the day) or lunch-no one ever asks what you scarfed down in the middle of the day-no it's all dinner.

What are you making?
Who's doing the cooking?

The questions are sudden and often perplexing. No one ever cared what I ate for dinner when I was single, and the nightly eating thing didn't just become a habit, it's been around for a long time.

So...

Dinner is being served, don't worry.

As is breakfast and lunch, thank you very much.

Do the ChaCha

..On with my Google rant...
If you didn't know this already, another facet of Googles awesomeness is the fact that you can text it for a phone number and it will text you back.
Gone are the days of trying to determine if your call to information is worth the $1.50-now all we have to do is text "Barnes and Noble" to 46645 and every Barnes and Noble number within the country will be sent to your phone (for narrowing down sake, enter the zip code as well).

But the text world's limits don't end there. Now (well not now now they've been around since 2006) there exists a company that allows you to pocket an entire library of information. ChaCha (Cha meaning "search" in Mexican, and "Cha-Cha" being fun to say) is a service (for free) that if you text it any question, any question at all you will in a few minutes be texted an answer back.

Say for instance you want to know the world record held for sneezing...All you have to do is text 242 242 (which spells out ChaCha) and in moments you'll have the answer, instantly being the hit (or the dork if you pass on quirky information like that) at parties.

Now you may be wondering if my pitch for this company is purely for blogging sake...and you may be wondering why I just made that suggestion that you're wondering something when you're really not...well let me tell you
I make this pitch not to fill up white space, but because if you text ChaCha (242242) you may be getting me on the other end as I will be a ChaCha guide by next week. (a beautiful job I can do whenever and where ever I please in addition to my other daily duties.)

So text away, and tell your friends!
Oh and Donna Griffiths holds the world record for sneezing 978 days in a row...see crazy interesting, huh!
