well oiled machine

Hello Friend, it's been a while.
I like to start as if we're in the middle of a conversation...not really I just like to quote that line from one of the greatest movies ever made that was on the other night and what my sister and I call "Usted tiene correo".

I don't have to tell you that I've fallen out of the habit of blogging but the month of December served as a bit of a brain break for all things creative. I took that time to fill my mind rather then empty it. I'm now deep into the Chronicles of Narnia for like the third or fourth time..I don't remember...

I will now launch into promises simply to fill up white space and start by saying I plan on swinging my brain back into "blog mode". This only means that special/humorous moments will be interrupted with "hmm what would be a good blog title for this?"

Unfortunately my plan of writing this blog and jogging some of that "blog juice" has failed because I'm out of things to yammer about.

Apparently I can only think in movie quotes tonight so I believe it's only fitting to include some more...If your spanish is rusty and you haven't yet figured out what movie I'm referring to here are some more quotes I've thought of that may jog your memory...
"Mmm scotch tape, can't beat that."
"Enchanting, your mother was enchanting"
"I wanted it to be you, I wanted it to be you so badly"
"I love Patricia, I love Patricia! Patricia makes coffee nervous."
and possibly the most quoted line by my sister and I...
"Thank yur. Thank yur ladies and gentlemen."

i think my favorite line from that movie is one of the ones you gave - "I wanted it to be you..." Not overly romantic but at the same time you can't help but say "aaww." There's comfort in the predictibility of watching a chic flick and knowing the guy really will get the girl, despite:
- the other guy that tries to steal her away
- the ex that returns and realizes she was the one that 'got away'
- well-meaning friends who try to foil the relationship for various reasons

You can walk away from the movie believing in happy endings and wistfully imagining guys were just as romantic as in the movies :-)

I watch this movie all. the. time. It is definitely one of my favorites. My favorite lines...

I wouldn't have been able to wait 24 hours before calling and asking, "How about coffee, drinks, dinner, a movie, for as long as we both shall live?"

Maybe he's fat. Yep he's fat. He's a fatty.

Joe: I did not.
Kathleen: You did too.
Joe: I did not
Kathleen: You did too, I thought all that Fox stuff was sooo charming. F-O-X.
Joe: Well, I didn't lie about it.

what about,
'brother reel, put down that devils brew.
'I was only trying to get rid of it so the heathens wouldn't get it'
'beware of the heathens in thine own breast. cast it away!'
can you name that one?
go back about...15-20 years

ok, i'm told to google myself (which i would never do under normal circumstances) and am led to your blog, which i'm not sure what it is, but from frequency of posts, i'm now considering a career change to whatever it is you do. ;)
hope you're well...and Tabby and Tobby too

How can I add any exhilaration other than what this blog has already generated, yet, how can I pass up commenting on MY favorite movie of all times. Speaking of favorites, the best line (per Sarah) is "What about you...is there someone else? No, no, but there is the dream of someone else." AND I love the capricious and self-confident way Kathleen Kelly relishes in the sound of her own name, as she whispers it to herself..."Kathleen Kelly." (head bounce). The charm! (she inherited that trait from you know who).
